Review:

A wonderful and rare empowering success of a children's book about childhood sexual abuse. In Room 204 Mrs. Salvador purses her lips and offers clear guidelines for her elementary school students. Mrs. Salvador fills her classroom with empathy, respect, and high expectations. Student Regina Lillian Hadwig, grateful for the safe space, is encouraged by Mrs. Salvador's discussion about "keeping our bodies to ourselves," and by Mrs. Salvador's assurance that if any child in her classroom has experienced sexual abuse, she knows just what to do for them. "Regina took a deep breath." And this is a book to share with all of your family. Take a look at the author's website at http://www.shannonriggs.com/.
