Meet a Community Group: Inside Books Project
Join members of the Inside Books Project Sunday November 14th at 7pm for a discussion on the organization's work bridging prisoners and the outside community in a way that both enrich their lives, empower, strengthen and educate.
The all volunteer, non-profit organization sends free books and educational materials to people in prison in the state of Texas. It is the only project in the state offering this vital resource to Texas' prisoner population, which now exceeds 171,790.
The group is hosting a fall work party Friday November 5 to Sunday November 7th. They'll have free food, music, and thousands of letters from Texas inmates ready to be answered! This is the work party where volunteers get as much done as possible in time to mail thousands of packages for the Holidays.
The monthly MonkeyWrench Meet a Community Group series is put together to help bring supporters and community members together with local organizations working on various issues in the Austin area.
