Founded in 1996, the Sirolli Institute is an international, social enterprise with the mission of introducing Enterprise Facilitation^® to communities seeking to grow from within.

Enterprise Facilitation allows communities to effectively engage with local citizens who have ideas to start or expand enterprises. Small and micro enterprises are important to a sustainable and thriving local economy.

But there is an important message to be conveyed to the entrepreneur: the success of any business is dependent upon the quality of the team surrounding the entrepreneur. In 25 years we have NEVER found any single person capable of managing the three areas of a business beautifully, namely product/service, marketing/sales and financial management/controls. It appears that sales and finance capabilities reside on two different sides of the brain and people gravitate to one side or the other.

Therefore we coach entrepreneurs to trust their talents and surround themselves with people who love to do what they cannot.

This message of building a quality team – and finding the team members – is delivered in the community by a paid full time professional - the Enterprise Facilitator - and a group of volunteers who share their experience and networks.

The results? More robust businesses with sustainability rates of 80% or better.
