Weekly intensive reading group to discuss leading work in social theory. We're starting with Zizek's Sublime Object of Ideology and discussing the first thirty pages. Zizek, the "Elvis of cultural theory" ties insights from psychoanalysis and Marxist critique to analyze contemporary media and culture.
