Austin Airwaves' Jim Ellinger reports on his successful assignment of putting the last community radio station back on the air Haiti in March. Jim will share slides and experiences of his taking 300 pounds of radio gear from Austin to Port au Prince to the remote Fondwa Valley in western Haiti. RZPF-FM, "Radio Voice of the Peasants," a Creole language station went back on the air ten weeks after the devastating January 12th earthquake.Ellinger serves as the VP for North America for AMARC, the World Association of Community Radio Broadcasters.
